Myles Mullaly wins the opener, Nick Palma defeats Adrián Mateos: two players claim their first PGT titles and establish themselves in the race for the Purple Jacket. In Las Vegas, the Poker Masters already has its early frontrunners.
The $10,500 opener attracted 78 entries, generating a $780,000 prize pool with twelve places paid. Second in chips behind Michael Rossitto when play resumed, Myles Mullaly converted that position into a $218,400 victory.
His heads-up against Justin Zaki was far from straightforward. After briefly falling behind, Mullaly regained the lead and closed out the tournament. Zaki finished second for $140,400, ahead of Sam Laskowitz, third for $101,400.
