After more than twenty years of imagining, developing, and shaping live poker across Europe, Apo Chantzis is about to open a brand-new chapter in the history of TexaPoker. In 2027, APO ONE will be launched: a premium poker circuit built around a philosophy that has become increasingly rare — giving players maximum depth, time to think, and a genuine, uncompromising poker experience, all in an 8-Handed format.
At a time when many festivals focus on multiplying tournaments, speeding up structures, or offering massive guarantees, Apo Chantzis has chosen a different path. With APO ONE, his goal is not simply to introduce another poker festival, but to create an event capable of becoming one of the benchmarks of European poker by bringing together what passionate players value most: outstanding structures, premium organization, and a playing experience where skill once again takes center stage.
At the heart of every stop will be a €1,000 Main Event, the true backbone of the festival. Players will begin with a 60,000-chip starting stack, featuring 60-minute levels that will increase to 75 minutes once late registration has closed.
This deliberately deep structure will allow the best players to fully develop their strategies, far from formats where variance too often dictates the outcome.
One of APO ONE's most innovative features also concerns late registration. Players will be able to enter the tournament until Day 2, during three full levels, while still enjoying a stack worth more than 30 big blinds.
It is a deliberate choice that allows everyone to join the competition under excellent conditions while preserving the overall quality of play.
Each APO ONE stop will run over seven to ten days, with a deliberately streamlined schedule centered around six major tournaments.
Unlike festivals that sometimes feature dozens of events, TexaPoker has chosen to prioritize the quality of every tournament.
The schedule will feature:
- Opener: €500
- Main Event: €1,000
- High Roller: €2,000
- Super High Roller: €4,000
- Omaha Championship: €1,000
- Omaha High Roller: €2,000
Behind these six events lies months of work by Apo Chantzis and the entire TexaPoker team to create brand-new tournament structures designed to maximize the enjoyment of the game while allowing players' technical skills to shine.
Beyond trophies and prize pools, APO ONE will introduce an additional objective that is sure to attract plenty of attention. Every festival will feature a leaderboard, rewarding the most consistent and highest-performing players throughout the week.
And the prize will match the prestige of the competition.
The overall leaderboard champion will win a package to the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, including the prestigious tournament's $10,000 buy-in.
More than just a prize, this package creates a direct link between APO ONE and every poker player's ultimate dream: taking a seat in the WSOP Main Event and competing for the title of World Champion.
The initiative perfectly reflects the philosophy behind the new circuit. APO ONE aims not only to reward individual victories, but also consistency, adaptability, and sustained excellence throughout a demanding festival.
While France will naturally be one of the cornerstones of the project, APO ONE was conceived from the outset as an international circuit.
The first announced destinations are:
- France
- Italy
- Switzerland
- Monaco (subject to confirmation)
The ambition is to take players to some of Europe's finest poker destinations while maintaining a strong identity and identical organizational standards at every stop.
This expansion also builds upon the partnership between TexaPoker and the World Series of Poker, which includes seven WSOP Circuit festivals held across Europe.
With APO ONE, Apo Chantzis proudly embraces a clear philosophy: putting the player and the quality of the game back at the heart of every festival.
Exceptionally long blind levels, deep starting stacks, a carefully selected schedule of premium tournaments, a leaderboard rewarding consistency, and a ticket to Las Vegas... every element reflects the desire to build a circuit unlike anything currently available.
The goal is not simply to organize outstanding festivals, but to create an environment where every decision matters, every day of competition carries real significance, and the best players have every opportunity to showcase their talent.
After building one of France's largest live poker circuits, organizing hundreds of festivals, and supporting several generations of players, TexaPoker now appears ready to take the next major step.
With APO ONE, Apo Chantzis is unveiling far more than a new name or another tournament series. He is presenting a vision of premium poker where the player experience, tournament quality, and prestigious rewards become the true priorities.
Deep-structured Main Events, a carefully curated lineup of premium tournaments, a circuit set to expand across several European countries, and a $10,000 WSOP Main Event package awarded to the winner of every festival leaderboard: all the ingredients appear to be in place for APO ONE to become one of the standout additions to the European poker calendar in 2027.
One thing is certain: TexaPoker has not finished surprising the poker world, and the months ahead should gradually reveal what is already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects ever imagined by Apo Chantzis and his team.
