With an ever-increasing number of tournaments on the schedule, this 57th edition of the World Series, which will offer 100 prestigious gold bracelets, will begin a little earlier than usual, on May 26th to be precise. The festival will conclude on July 15th, one or two days after the Main Event, as there is some uncertainty surrounding the final table of the biggest tournament of the year. A delayed broadcast, similar to the November Nine format, is being considered by GGPoker, now a key player in the event.
Among the tournaments already announced are the highly anticipated $50,000 Poker Players Championship, which is expected to be won by Michael Mizrachi, the Super High Roller ($250,000), the Heads-Up Championship ($25,000 for the maximum of 64 entrants), and the festival's traditional hits (Monster Stack, Colossus, Millionaire Maker) designed for all budgets.
New events have been unveiled, notably a Mini Mystery Millions with a $550 buy-in, expected to draw a full house with its $1 million prize pool. Other additions include the GGMillion$ High Roller ($10,000), a Five-Card PLO ($1,500), and the US Circuit Championship ($1,700), which will mark the continuation of the World Series with the WSOP-C from July 14th to 25th—a first that should guarantee a strong turnout for this iteration of the legendary festival. Finally, the revamped Player of the Year (POY) will debut at the WSOP Europe in Prague with a total prize pool of $1 million.
