The second Francophone Poker Awards ceremony took place last night, and among the evening’s biggest winners, Winamax delivered a huge performance, walking away with four trophies.

On January 6, 2025, the second edition of the Francophone Poker Awards took place — an unmissable ceremony designed as the great celebration of Francophone poker and of all those who help the game shine in France and far beyond its borders.

 

While many winners were honored throughout the evening, one name clearly stood out: Winamax, crowned the night’s overall winner with four trophies to its name. Here’s a look back at a red-white-and-blue poker night shaped by excellence, recognition, and pure passion for the game.

Far from a simple succession of awards, the ceremony established itself as a collective snapshot of the poker landscape, where competitive performance, innovation, and structural commitment all took center stage.

Driven by massive participation — 9,734 votes cast — the 2025 edition honored 19 winners, highlighting a strong trend: in a world often ruled by variance, consistency and long-term impact are emerging as the true measures of recognition.

The evening opened with the Ambassador of the Year award, presented to Benny and Yu, who had already been recognized last year as Commentators of the Year. A natural continuation for a duo that has become a cornerstone of the poker media scene.

The same momentum carried several figures and institutions already crowned in 2024, who once again confirmed their status:
- Club Circus, re-elected Club of the Year
- Gregory Chochon, once again named Executive of the Year
- Apo Chantzis, awarded Entrepreneur of the Year, visibly moved and widely praised by his peers, many of whom thanked the founder of Texapoker throughout the ceremony

In a world where performance can be fleeting, some manage to turn excellence into a lasting standard.

That’s exactly what Alexandre Réard achieved, winning Player of the Year for the second year in a row, as well as Cécile Ticherfatine, who delivered an equally impressive back-to-back by retaining her title as Female Player of the Year. Two different paths, one shared trait: consistency at the highest level.

- YouTube Channel of the Year: Kill Tilt
- Breakthrough of the Year: Coralie Sferrazza
- Performance of the Year: Jérémy Cauchard
- Honorary Awards: Giuseppe Zarbo and Guillaume Darcourt 
- Non-Profit Poker Club of the Year: Paname Poker Club
- Non-Profit Event of the Year: French Team Poker Championship Final (FFPA)

If only one collective winner were to be remembered from this edition, it would be Winamax. The French room leaves with four major trophies, a symbol of a fully controlled, global strategy:
