The year 2025 marked a real turning point for Winamax’s live events. Between a WiPT taken to a whole new level after moving to the Casino Grand Partouche in Aix-en-Provence, a SISMIX in Marrakech that once again made a strong impression thanks to record-breaking figures, and the arrival of the Winamax Poker Open on French soil with a first edition in Aix-les-Bains, the bar was set very high.
Naturally, one question is already being asked repeatedly: what can we expect next?
As for the WiPT, the direction is clear. The 2026 Grand Final will once again take place in Aix-en-Provence, with a full schedule of 40 tournaments already confirmed. On the WPO side, confirmation has also come through, as the event will return to Aix-les-Bains next year, with several new features still being kept under wraps.
However, a significant change is worth noting for 2026 — and not a minor one. The SISMIX will not stop in Marrakech in 2026. Organising an event of this scale requires perfect coordination between all the parties involved, and this time, the conditions are not in place to deliver an edition worthy of previous ones. Despite this news, Winamax will do everything possible to consider a return in 2027.
So no SISMIX next year, but the story does not end there, as an alternative is already in the works. A different and brand-new project that could very well pleasantly surprise players.
To be continued very soon...
