Nearly fifteen years after recording his first cash in Prague, Israeli player Matan Krakow experienced the most significant moment of his career this Sunday by winning the 2025 EPT Prague Main Event. For the record, the tournament attracted a total of 1,224 entries and generated a prize pool of €5,936,400!
After an emotion-filled final table, Krakow defeated Turkey’s Bora Kurtulus heads-up, sealing the victory with a flush on the river.
This decisive hand earned him the prestigious trophy as well as €778,255 after a deal. It is worth noting that this victory simply doubled his live tournament earnings, now totaling $1,367,000!
For his performance, the runner-up takes home a consolation prize of €757,400, while Greece’s Dimitrios Gkatzas bowed out in third place for €574,600.
Unfortunately for the French team, Thomas Bazin saw his run end just short of the final table in ninth place, collecting €94,150.
