The 2025 Main Event will forever be etched in poker history. In just 79 hands, Michael Mizrachi steamrolled the final table to claim $10,000,000 and his eighth WSOP bracelet. “The Grinder” has now become a living legend.

He was already a living legend. He had already won everything... or almost. By capturing the 2025 Main Event title, Michael Mizrachi sealed an extraordinary career with a truly exceptional and historic achievement!

A Champion from Another Dimension

They were 9,735 at the start. Only one remains. A player who transcended generations, defied the odds, and left an indelible mark on the history of poker. Michael Mizrachi, aka "The Grinder", captured the world’s most prestigious title after a masterclass performance at the final table of the 2025 WSOP Main Event.

Starting the day with 445.5 million chips — 75% of the total in play — the four-time Poker Players Championship winner left no room for doubt. On the very first hand, he eliminated Kenny Hallaert with a turn-paired king. Just minutes later, Braxton Dunaway and John Wasnock followed. The final table lasted barely two hours.

John Wasnock, the underdog from Seattle, a quiet investment consultant unknown to the general public, fought valiantly. He tried to shake up the Mizrachi juggernaut heads-up, but a turned flush sealed his fate. Mizrachi’s rail erupted. Everyone in the room knew they had witnessed history.

This crowning moment comes after a record-shattering summer for Mizrachi. Winner of the PPC for a record fourth time, Main Event finalist fourteen years after his 5th-place finish in 2010, he now joins the rarest of circles — that of the legends.

The most astonishing part? His name wasn’t even listed among the Poker Hall of Fame finalists this year. An oversight swiftly corrected: Phil Hellmuth, Jack Effel, and several Hall of Famers inducted him on the spot, during an impromptu ceremony. Mizrachi thus became a Hall of Famer — live and in person.

“I couldn’t let them down,” he said emotionally, bracelet on his wrist. “I cemented my career with this title. I’m not stopping here. I’ll be back stronger than ever.”

With this triumph, Michael Mizrachi enters the pantheon of global poker for good. His portrait will now hang forever in the Horseshoe Event Center. A banner for eternity.
