Very bad news for the integrity of the game during Event #53 of the WSOP! In the $1,500 Millionaire Maker, which recorded 11,996 entries, the final heads-up has sparked debate among internet users and the poker community in general.
Jesse Yaginuma and James Carroll are clearly suspected of chip dumping, and an investigation is currently being conducted by the WSOP organization.
During the final duel, the players exchanged large amounts of chips, and with hands that raise questions. For example, in one hand, Yaginuma raised to 8.7 million chips with {8♠}{7♦}, while Carroll 3-bet to 23 million with {8♦}{3♣}. Yaginuma came back over the top with a 4-bet to 42 million chips.
James Carroll folded. Several similar hands occurred during the heads-up, which is why the WSOP launched an investigation.
For now, the top two positions have not been confirmed, and neither the bracelet nor the prize has been officially awarded.
