The two starting days of Event #59, which is the WSOP Battle of the Ages tournament, were a complete success. Find out more about this new type of tournament.

The concept is very simple! This new $1,000 WSOP tournament allows different generations to compete, ultimately revealing which age group will be best represented at the final table. With an ever-growing field in the senior events each year, the organization has decided to create a generational showdown tournament: Battle of the Ages.

During the tournament, two Day 1s are scheduled. The morning flight is for players over 50, and the afternoon flight is for those under 50! Players who qualify from each Day 1 will return on Day 2 to battle it out.

In this Event #59 with a $1,000 buy-in, both qualifying flights have now concluded. A total of 3,074 players entered the field, and only 461 will return for Day 2. The tournament generated an impressive $2,700,000 prize pool!
