During this intense competition period, no French player had yet made headlines at the main casino festivals in Las Vegas. That is no longer the case thanks to the victory of Samuel Bifarella in the $1,100 Main Event of the MSCP held at the Venetian. Out of a field of 1,171 participants, the Frenchman managed to dominate the final table, maintaining his large chip lead.
After three hours battling at a seven-player final table, Samuel Bifarella faced off against Romanian player Claudiu Burlacu heads-up.
In the end, after a deal between the two players, Bifarella takes home $141,905 for his performance, while Claudiu Burlacu finishes as runner-up with $131,905. Taking third place on the podium is Hrachya Ohanyan, who walks away with a consolation prize of $88,727.
With this victory, Samuel Bifarella has simply doubled his live poker earnings. Until now, the player had accumulated $125,000 in live winnings. From now on, his Hendon Mob stats will show over $265,000 in tournament winnings. It's a very strong start for Samuel, who will most likely be able to freeroll the WSOP thanks to this win!
