One year after Patrick Antonius was inducted into the Hall of Fame, it's time for the 2025 edition. Until June 15, internet users can nominate a player via a voting form on the WSOP website. So far, no French player has managed to enter the institution. However, European players such as Nick Dandolos, Edmond Hoyle, Henry Orenstein, and David Ulliott have already succeeded in joining the exclusive Hall of Fame circle.
Users can nominate the player of their choice, and the eligibility criteria are as follows:
- The player must have competed against top-level competition.
- Demonstrated consistency and earned the respect of their peers.
- Been active in the poker scene for many years.
- For non-players, they must have significantly contributed to the growth of poker in a lasting way.
After the public vote on the WSOP website, 10 finalists will be announced on June 17 before being submitted to a vote by all current Hall of Fame members. The final verdict will be delivered on July 11, and the selected inductee will be honored during the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty.
