Another Iberian victory in a High Roller, this time at the expense of an excellent Romain Le Dantec

The poker world had already become familiar with the distinguished representatives of Spain who had become accustomed to shining in the high rollers, following in the footsteps of Adrian Mateos: Sergio Garcia, Juan Pardo, Ramon Colillas, and others. Now, we'll have to get used to seeing Gerard Carbo's presence at the top of the chip counts. He won the €5,000 Super High Roller at the PokerStars Open Namur held at the Circus Casino, beating a small but strong field of 30 players.

This victory earned him the tidy sum of €51,960, ahead of Frenchman Romain Le Dantec, who reminds his fans of his talents by posting one or two impressive performances each year! In addition to his WSOP bracelet, he also made his mark here last year, winning the Circus Poker Series Main Event for €185,000. Lithuanian Kestutis Jungevicius completed the podium, denying Belgium and Johnny Nedved a medal.

Meanwhile, the Main Event is underway with over 850 entries already counted, with four more starting flights scheduled (as well as late regs until the start of Day 2). Suffice it to say, the total attendance is expected to be colossal...
