1232 players for a totally insane DAY 1C, tournament rooms all completely saturated, the SISMIX 2025 Main Event in XXL version !!!

Day 1C of the Main Event exceeded all expectations: logistical, physical, and competitive. It was a wave of players that swept through Marrakech on Friday, and it took more than just cards to survive it.

Massive turnout, brutal eliminations, and a high-pressure atmosphere

Linda Hamdi will return with 604,000 chips

1,232 is the official number of entries for Day 1C. That figure alone would be enough to label the tournament a major international event. But it also pushes the Main Event past 3,300 total entries — a new world record for a 6-max tournament. Marrakech has officially joined the ranks of the biggest poker events in the world.

Faced with such an influx, the Casino Es Saadi had to unlock every available space. An outdoor structure was built, additional rooms opened, and exceptional logistics deployed. But in the end, it was the field's density that weighed the most: tight tables, relentless pace, stadium-like energy. Sismix poker has become a contact sport.

In total, 204 players advanced to Day 2. Not all made it quietly. Multiple simultaneous eliminations forced the tournament staff to make sharp calls. The standout: Samy Khaled, who climbed to the top of the Day 1C leaderboard with 1,100,000 chips, having crushed the TV table and his opponents’ hopes.

Just behind him, Jose Lozano (1,077,000) and Nelson Vaz Da Silva (969,000) stood out. One managed to recover after a rough start, while the other steadily accumulated chips "grind style," as he described. Further back, Ugo Taurines (718,000), Anas Tadini (463,000), and Slimane Mameche (423,000) fought hard to stay in control. It was a day where the smallest mistake could cost dearly.

Some players scraped through. Marc Uzan (300,000), Tahar Said (205,000), Bruno Soutavong (49,000): each managed to survive in their own way — without flair, but with efficiency. You can’t win a Day 1, but you can certainly lose everything.

Right after the close of Day 1C, Day 1D Turbo delivered its fast-paced verdict. 402 entries, 67 qualifiers, and one name on top: Redouan Bettioui (1,090,000). Closely followed by Said Abdel Attey (1,018,000), the Belgian crushed the field in lightning-fast format. Behind them, Pierre Calamusa got the job done (500,000), along with Rayane Bouibeb (678,000) and Timothée Rey (536,000).

562 players will return on Saturday for Day 2. The full payout structure will be announced before shuffle-up, and blind levels will now last 35 minutes. At this point, every pot matters. The Sismix has gone from a party-style tournament to a true endurance test. The sprint is over, now comes the fight.
