Italy's most famous poker tournament returns to Sanremo with a record guarantee and an explosive alliance between two major circuits.

The stage is set: from May 3 to 13, 2025, the legendary Casino of Sanremo will transform into the European poker capital. The Italian Poker Open (IPO), now inseparable from the continental scene, returns to the spotlight with an unprecedented promise: one million euros guaranteed for its €550 Main Event. And that’s not all. This edition will also feature a fusion with the European Poker Open (EPO), which will run concurrently in a €1,100 Mystery Bounty format, for a double event masterfully organized by Texapoker and EuroRounders.

Sanremo 2025: the major spring poker rendezvous in Italy

For ten days, players from across the continent – and beyond – will have their eyes fixed on the Italian Riviera. The IPO, a flagship tournament that has thrilled thousands of enthusiasts, offers this year an exceptional structure combining depth, endurance, and suspense. Seven Day 1s will be offered from Saturday, May 3 to Saturday, May 10, with 40,000 starting chips and blind levels progressing from 45 to 75 minutes.

But the real novelty is this event crossover with the EPO: in addition to the main tournament, players can also take a shot at a €1,100 Mystery Bounty, a trendy format that blends adrenaline, strategy, and unpredictable rewards.

From the very first hours of the festival, the atmosphere promises to be electric. Each Day 1 will end when only 15% of the field remains: all of them will be qualified for Day 2 and already in the money, a rare structure that speaks volumes about the tournament’s accessibility and intensity. Another standout feature: the first four Day 1s (1A to 1D) will award 25 tickets for the Italian Poker Series (IPS) worth €490, granted to the biggest stacks of the day. An added reward for those who know how to build, dominate… and dream bigger.
