David Gradic didn't dominate the field throughout the competition, but gradually made an impressive comeback to win his ring in Provence.

Despite his good mood and strong desire to win this Main Event with a 1433 players field, Thierry Amirault couldn’t do anything against the experience and skills of Slovenian David Gradic. A look back at a final where the regs were present, but in the end, the “star” wasn't necessarily the one stealing the spotlight!

Winamax Team Pro Julien Sitbon or the experienced Cécile Ticherfatine couldn't keep up with Gradic

At the start of this final table, after observing the dynamic with nine players left, we quickly realized that David Gradic had shifted gears. As soon as play resumed with eight left, he set the pace, eliminating nearly every one of his opponents (six out of seven) and displaying all his skills, despite a fairly quiet live tournament résumé up to that point.

During the final heads-up, Thierry Amirault also couldn't stop the Slovenian’s momentum and the determination of the young grinder from Eastern Europe to bring the ring home. Gradic regularly interacted with his opponents at the table, showing through his questions and moments of sharing that he was technically very sharp.

Gradic, who started online poker in 2017, mostly plays behind a screen and is gradually transitioning to live poker. He secretly dreamed of winning this WSOP-C ring, despite playing few events on the circuit and having limited Hendon Mob results. This great story proves that motivation is often the key to success!
