Having to win in a field of 1312 entrants isn't a battle, it's a gigantic challenge. Anthony Philippe has just met it !

Long final day at the Pasino Grand in Aix-en-Provence, where Ring Event #2 – the €250 Cup – delivered its verdict. Anthony Philippe emerged victorious after a marathon session of cards, claiming the €35,000 promised to the winner. He outlasted Antony Ammar (€23,639.20) and Blaise Imbert (€16,300), who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in this high-intensity tournament.

No new title for record holder Sonny Franco

Among the finalists, notable mention goes to the highly respected Sonny Franco, ambassador of the Pasino Grand and French record holder for WSOP Circuit rings, who finished 5th for €8,700.

With 1,312 entries, the event shattered records, generating a prize pool of €264,499.20.

Meanwhile, Ring Event #3 Mystery Bounty (€550 buy-in) got underway: only 28 players remain from the 187 who started on Day 1A. The action continues Monday with Days 1B and 1C. In the background of the festival, the €200 Colossus is running nearly daily flights. Poker is in full swing in Aix!
