On March 2, 2025, during a $300 No Limit Hold'em tournament at the Texas Card House in Dallas, Mark Toulouse participated with the enthusiasm and passion that defined him. The tournament attracted 1,648 participants, highlighting the scale of the event. Unfortunately, in the middle of the competition, Mark suddenly collapsed. Despite a swift intervention and his transfer to a local hospital, he did not survive.

Mark Toulouse was an iconic figure in poker, known for his sharp strategy and exemplary fair play. His career was marked by success, with total winnings of $551,944, his biggest cash prize reaching $89,197. He ranked 294th on the all-time earnings list in Canada, his home country.

Beyond the numbers, Mark was cherished for his warm personality and sportsmanship. His colleagues and opponents remember him as a humble man, always willing to share his knowledge and encourage newcomers.

The news of his passing quickly spread, causing a wave of emotion within the poker community. Tributes are pouring in on social media, where professional and amateur players alike express their sadness and share memories of moments spent with Mark.
