The third edition of this unique event returns from March 23 to 26, 2025, in Auron. €5,000 in prizes and free entry for a tournament that combines poker and winter sports at an altitude of 1,600 meters.

Cards in hand and skis on your feet! In the Southern Alps, just 1.5 hours from Nice, a tournament like no other is getting ready to turn the snow into a green felt table. The Partouche Group, in partnership with the Auron resort and Texapoker, is bringing back its iconic "Auron Poker Ski" tournament for the third consecutive year. This event transforms Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, a former alpine village, into the stage for a unique competition where, good news, neither skiing skills nor a paid entry are required to participate.

A thrilling program for all skill levels

The festivities will kick off on Sunday, March 23, with an opening and initiation evening — perfect for curious tourists and locals eager to discover the subtleties of poker. On March 24 and 25, the competition gets underway with entirely free Sit&Go tournaments starting at 7 PM in various businesses around the resort. It’s a great opportunity for a fun session surrounded by local delicacies like sausages and cheese. The top two players from each tournament will qualify directly for the grand finale scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, at 7 PM.

The stakes are high, as the winners of the final will have the chance to claim prestigious prizes, including a €1,000 entry to the WSOP Circuit Aix-en-Provence, a €1,000 ticket for the Texapoker French Championship, and FPO entries. For those who don’t manage to qualify, there will also be a consolation final open to all, with a €150 Texapoker ticket up for grabs. After all, in poker as in skiing, it’s not just about reaching the bottom — it’s about knowing when to brake and when to go full speed ahead!
