Michael Nia has claimed the coveted Los Angeles Poker Classic 2025 Main Event title, taking home $308,270. This victory marks a major turning point in Nia's career, fulfilling a long-held dream.

The Main Event, held at the prestigious Commerce Casino, attracted 145 participants, generating a total prize pool of $1,348,500. Throughout the tournament, Michael Nia skillfully navigated a competitive field, demonstrating an unwavering determination to win and resilience in the face of challenges.

A Final Under High Tension

The final table was the scene of intense battles, featuring renowned players such as Faraz Jaka and Elvyn Bello. Michael Nia, with a solid starting stack, capitalized on his chips to establish his dominance. His aggressive yet calculated play allowed him to gain the upper hand over his opponents, strategically eliminating the most threatening competitors.

The heads-up match pitted him against Elvyn Bello, a formidable opponent who had also shown great mastery throughout the tournament. After a series of contested hands, Nia managed to take the lead, sealing his victory with a decisive hand that left Bello in second place.

The road to the title was not an easy one for Nia. From the early stages of the tournament, he faced complex situations requiring critical decisions under pressure. His ability to read his opponents and adapt his strategy to the table dynamics proved to be a major asset in his progression.

Among the key moments of his journey, a remarkable hand against Faraz Jaka left a lasting impression. In a high-stakes situation, Nia successfully bluffed Jaka, forcing him to fold a potentially winning hand. This strategic move not only strengthened his stack but also shook the confidence of his adversaries, many of whom had significantly more experience in closing out a major circuit event.

After this pivotal moment, nothing seemed able to stop Nia, not even Elvyn Bello. Nia’s motivation was so strong that he could have eliminated any player in his path. The dream he was on the verge of achieving was unbreakable by any situation—it all seemed already written in the stars.

A special mention goes to our two French players, Cécile Ticherfatine, who, as she says herself, continues to improve her results on the global circuit with an excellent 7th place finish for $47,200, and also our World Champion Jonathan Pastore, who secured a strong 9th place finish for $37,230.
