In Albania, during the PLO Grand Slam Championship of the Diamond Poker Series, French player Daniel Tordjman made a name for himself by finishing on the podium of the event, securing the most lucrative win of his career.

195.500 €, here is the very nice check obtained by the French Daniel Tordjman in Tirana last night. In the 10.300€ Championship of the PLO Grand Slam, the French player dazzled the Arena Casino to win the largest prize of his life, just before unfortunately falling just before the heads-up final. In this final duel, it was the Norwegian Tom-Aksel Bedell and the Spanish Lautaro Guerra who faced off. In this game, the Nordic was the stronger and triumphed over the 191 entries of the tournament for the sum of 438.000 €. A triumph for a player who was awarded a free ticket after being the competitor who put the most bullets into the Opener at 5.200 €.

So close to the finish line...

Arriving as chip leader on Day 3, victory seemed long promised to Daniel Tordjman. Present in Albania to ensure coverage of the Diamond Poker Series, the teams of PokerNews reported that "Daniel seemed unstoppable after having eliminated all his final table opponents in person." With three players remaining, and his stack counting 80% of the tokens in circulation, the dynamics changed... A well-negotiated full by Bedell made him lose a first part of his stack before being stuck on Guerra's pair of Aces a few moments later, leaving him with only a few tokens, insufficient to recover. This will leave some regrets... Regrets that should however be wiped away by this generous check that promises participation in prestigious tournaments soon.
